Fourah Bay College (FBC), founded in 1827, is the oldest university in West Africa and a constituent college of the University of Sierra Leone. Located on the scenic Mount Aureol campus overlooking Freetown, FBC offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in arts, sciences, engineering, law, and social sciences. As the premier institution of higher learning in Sierra Leone, it has produced many of the nation's leaders, professionals, and intellectuals over its nearly 200-year history.
